How we work

Methodology

How this site decides what to state: every claim is bound to a dated source or written as unknown, comparison criteria are visible, and the commercial handoff is shown before you leave.

The rule

Bound, dated, or unknown

The claim ceiling is simple: a statement on this site is either tied to a dated primary source or stated as unknown. Nothing is filled in by plausibility — a fact we cannot source says so plainly.

Claims come from the site's claim policy (recorded 2026-10-30), which lists the primary sources each category depends on and the check each one requires.

Rules

What governs this site

Dated sources
Observations carry their slice date; they stay valid as observations for that date only.
Primary over retold
Where a fact matters, the primary document is named, not a news retelling of it.
Stated criteria
Every list names the criteria it uses; a list without criteria is not presented as a ranking.
Unknown stays unknown
Licenses, audits, reviews, volumes or registration status are not asserted without a source.
Absolute claims excluded
No promise of anonymity, untraceability, security or legality without evidence.
editorial scope
Dirty Tether is an editorial site with a commercial handoff to the handoff destination. It is not a mixer and does not hold funds. The handoff screen names the destination before you continue. This site does not claim independence from that destination: the handoff is commercial, and the destination is a separate service.

source_state: Rule set follows the site's own claim policy (read 2026-10-31). (sources checked 2026-10-31)

Rules read — see them applied

Start with the sources ledger or the USDT hub, then take the handoff screen to the handoff destination.
